The Meaning of NGR

NGR (pronounced en-jer), is an ancient term which means GOD. That is how ancient African Peoples, aka Negroes, were referred to originally, due to their deep cocoa skin. Originally, according to Rogers, Negro comes from the name River Niger. Negro means “The people of the great river” (100 Amazing Facts about the Negro with Complete Proof: A Short Cut to The World History of The Negro by J. A. Rogers, P.22 1934). The word was slandered during biblical times, likely by the Romans, eventually leading to the slanderous N-word. It is in the spirit of the original definition of NGR that this magazine has been named. We seek to enlighten people about the positive, respectful meaning of NGR…in the spirit of humanity.
